Beginners • Need Help: Car kit - autonomous driving

Hi,

During retraining to become an IT specialist, a project is carried out in a class. It's about a kit for a car that is supposed to drive independently with set routes. More specifically, it's about designing a small robot that could replace a waiter in the catering industry (of course very fictional and thought of in small dimensions). Two groups were formed in the class, but both are now pretty much at a loss. Servers and databases were set up, apps were programmed etc etc. However, none of us have any experience with model building.

Unfortunately, no instructions were provided to us and the books we have are outdated and not suitable for our situation. I haven't been able to find anything suitable on the internet either.

That's why I'm asking for help or advice on how to connect the components together correctly and why.
There are simply no circuit diagrams and instructions on what the pins on the respective boards are for and how the boards are connected to each other correctly.

2 chips are used for engines (L298N)
1 PWM Driver PCA9685 with connected converter (see picture)
GeeekPi Block Breakout BoardHAT
4 motors for wheels
Multiple sensors for distance detection, camera, speakers etc (many are optional and do not have to be used)
Raspberry Pi 4 development board

Below I have added some links to photos.

This model is relatively close to ours:
