I assure you there is nothing remotely complex about adding additional copies of Raspberry Pi OS (and/or Ubuntu) to an existing 'standard' installation with MultiBoot. Try it -- you'll be very surprised at the simplicity.

I understand how it works (Unix sysadmin for many years, Linux user on various architectures since it was released, and Linux only at home for over 20 years). I have setup similar configs and admire the automation that multiboot brings to the process.

My point is that if the user does not under the basics, they will blindly follow poorly worded instructions, and yes many assume the "standard" partitioning layout. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on this point.
