Not really IMO. You can alter the command line interface of the existing tools to deliver the behaviour you prefer and the library, its API, the drivers behind that, can remain the same.That it is. But since they're authored by the same person, I guess there must be some connection there, eh?...
This is gripes against the tools, not the library.
I have my own complete suite of command line tool replacements which do what I want, have the command line interface I prefer but they still use the 'libgpiod' library as provided.
