Not without some sleuthing.
Does this command work:Code:
sudo logwatch --range today --output stdout
No, it does not.No output at all.Code:
pi@sky:~ $ sudo logwatch --range today --output stdoutpi@sky:~ $
I know both mail and logwatch were configure correctly the last time I touched the machine because logwatch sent me email three days in a row. The last was yesterday. Nothing today.I'm using msmtp configured to use Google as an SMTP relay. Both my Macs and all of my Pies are set up this way and it works on all machines. How do you have email sending configured? Does it go through the internet or just on your local network? If on the internet, what email service are you sending through? (email sending has gotten more complex since the good old Buster days). When you do the mail command you showed, does mail actually get sent that you can read?Arrived in a matter of seconds:Code:
pi@sky:~ $ mail [me]@mac.comSubject: Hi Mac From Sky on BookwormNo bodyCc:
I feel like I should abandon this project. So far it's just over a week and well over 20 hours and I'm still nowhere near done. I should have followed the old adage: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. All of my Buster Pies were "not broke". It was a mistake to try to "fix" them
