Thanks for pointing out this, I will try this later. But I still got the question, why the new kernel system cannot hook up the DSI display? I saw the modules in "gpu/drm/panel" all become ko.xz files, in 5.x kernel, they're ko files. Could this be the problem?

You've not provided any details of the driver source or overlays that you're trying to use, therefore it is near impossible to say what is going on.

.ko vs .ko.xz just means that MODULE_COMPRESS_XZ has been defined in the default defconfig to reduce the size of all the modules. It has no functional difference.
