Raspberry Pi Connect • Re: Connect service fails to start with out of memory error

I've just tried to reproduce this:
  1. I wrote the latest 64-bit version of Raspberry Pi OS to an SD card
  2. I booted it up in a 4GB Raspberry Pi 4B and ran through the first-boot wizard (I chose to not install updates in the last step)
  3. When it booted to desktop I logged in to Raspberry Pi Connect (it all worked fine)
  4. I installed all apt-updates and rebooted - Connect still worked fine
  5. I used raspi-config to switch to the `latest` rpi-eeprom bootloader and rebooted - Connect still worked fine
  6. I ran 'sudo rpi-eeprom-update -a' and rebooted so that I'm now running the 7th December eeprom image - Connect still worked fine!
I also did the same procedure using 32-bit Raspberry Pi OS, and again Connect was running fine at every stage, and I never saw any memory errors in dmesg.
Can you think of any way in which your system might be "different" to what I'm testing with? The only things connected to my Pi 4B are a PSU, 4K HDMI monitor, USB mouse & keyboard and an ethernet cable.
