Although it's the start of the Christmas season, I'm not sure about promoting a shameless elf.

I think some enclosures are called USB C hard disk enclosures because USB C is the port on the box. If not included, you need a USB C to USB A type 3.x cable to connect such an enclosure to a Pi. Here the x can be 0, 1 or 2. Make sure you get a cable that can handle data as some are charging only.
