The base plate I see online has no air flow for the SSD. The SSD will get hot with continuous writes. When I use something similar for a backup server, where there can be frequent 100 MB writes, I have the SSD facing out with heatsinks.
If you are not writing, writing, writing, then you could save money with a PCIe 3 SSD instead of a PCIe 4 SSD as PCIe3 is a better match for the USB 3 in a Pi.
