Beginners • Remotely start GUI on main session

Hello o/

I mainly use my RPI 5 on RaspOS (bookworm) as a home server, so most of the time it runs headless. However, from time to time, I'd like to get a screen to use an app on my TV.
I am aware that you can use the wayfire-pi command to start a graphical session. It works well when I do it directly from the rpi TTY, or with RPI Connect.

However, I'm not able to start it from SSH, or from a script ran by a service/a cron. My understanding is that you need to be attached to the main session in order to start the GUI. Unfortunately, I was not able to find any way to do this. This must be possible since RPI Connect does it.
Ideally, a service should be able to run the command, so I can call it from anywhere.
I tried script, openvt and co, as well as pipping my command to /dev/tty1, but to no avail.

Thanks in advance for your help !
