Hi all,
I'm facing exactly the same issue. If you're not planning to use PoE functionality, I recommend choosing an RJ-45 connector with integrated magnetics (MagJack) without PoE support. This can significantly reduce the cost of the connector – at least that's what my analysis suggests.
In my project, I’m going to use the following connector: RJMG2V1SLN12W5R
I believe the center taps of the transformer (CT or TCT pins) should be properly biased by connecting them to VCC. However, I’m unsure whether they should be connected to 1.8V or 3.3V. Has anyone here dealt with this and could share some insight?
Thanks in advance!
