Beginners • Re: New to Raspberry PI

Thank you everyone for your input and advice. I have a 1TB SD card because it's one I already have, rarely used. I do have 64GB cards as well. I do like the idea of using the Raspberry PI OS, so I will explore this option more.

Fair enough...that makes good economic sense! It's far more than will be needed, but there's no reason for it not to work; based on the size.

Two major causes of problems on here are

1. Poor SD card.
2. Unsuitable power supply. Get the official power supply!

Get those two right and use Raspberry Pi OS (bookworm 64) on your Pi 5 and that should get you started....

You also stand maximum chance of getting assistance on here, if you get stuck.
