Troubleshooting • Re: Overscan problem

Hi
When I boot up using a small tv/monitor I have, the desktop goes beyond the edges of the screen. I think this is an overscan problem.
I seem to remember that there used to be a setting in raspi-config to overcome this happening, however that setting does not seem to be there any longer.

Is there a way to overcome this? I'm using a raspberry Pi 400 and Raspberry os 64bit debian trixie.

Regards Steve
You may want to try adding some margins via cmdline.txt, I have a TV here which presents what appears to be the same problem. Fixed it by putting this at the beginning of /boot/firmware/cmdline.txt

Code:

video=HDMI-A-1:margin_left=50,margin_right=50,margin_top=30,margin_bottom=30
Give it a try and see how you go.
