It seems the install works, <s>I even did an Obuntu OS am getting the same issue</s>. I see the welcome to Pi and then I get a black screen with flashing type cursor.
(Try setting it in /boot/firmware/config.txt)
(Something like video=HDMI-A-1:1280x1024M@60)
add below to the beginning of the existing line in /boot/firmware/cmdline.txt' - will force FHD resolution on the HDMI-1 output (should be the one closest to USB-C, but as I don't own a Pi500 I don't know)
