Perhaps as an alternative, you could simply configure the ESP32 to send data over e.g. Bluetooth Classic or BLE to a Raspberry Pi 5. Then run a simple Python script on the Pi to receive it and display the word on the full screen of your HDMI TV. Since it's just one word, latency and bandwidth shouldn't be an issue.
