MMAL won't work on a 64bit userspace distro either - that was the publicly stated back in April 2021, and isn't going to change.
None of the old userland libraries are shipped with Trixie (or Bookworm) as they are considered deprecated and unneeded.This repo is deprecated, and only kept for reference.
