One colour bit tx should take 1200ns, then the output waveform either HHL or HLL would give high level timings of either 400ns for T0H and 800ns for T1H, which fits most datasheets of WS2812 type chips.
A PIO clock of 5 MHz giving a colour bit period of 600ns may be too far off. Changing the PIO clock to 2.5 MHz or a 400ns period should be better.
