>Powering via the GPIO header is fine. All the 5V pins are directly connected to each other. But don't rely on the colour coded header as you've installed it the wrong way around.

can you specify the pins for usb and 5v power ?

i thought that the soldering is optional ,but I'll give it a try ,there's guide on the yt
