Additionally, the OTP revision value is 2e288257, which also decodes as a ?4GB?
2e288257 is the serial number. It doesn't encode anything.

I’m a bit confused. It looks like rpiMike might be right (?) – my Pi might also have had a swapped RAM chip.
I just removed the heatsink and checked the memory chip – it’s a Micron 9VD7Z D9WHV, which seems to be an original 4GB RAM part. Here is a photo.

I also checked some parameters of the chip:

vcgencmd measure_clock sdramfrequency(0)=0

So, it seems my Pi might also have been upgraded to a different, but original (?) Micron chip with the full 4GB. The only thing that’s still unclear to me is why RPi OS reports the correct board revision and why vcgencmd measure_clock sdram does not return a proper frequency value?
