Unfortunately no basements here in Florida. Only A/C or fans. Hopefully this year I can put A/C in the shopThat is hot, I put NAS in basement, earlier in other house I planned to put it under the floor, but never actually did it, was rental and needed then drill 20cm concrete for power+ethernet (SDS drilling). Now in own house I would not hesitate to do it.
A 4k7 R and DS18b20 on a 2 meter 3 wires can be very helpfull. GPIO4 is most default.
