I currently have 64-bit Bullseye installed on my RPi5 and am thinking about Bookworm. I installed a base test version of Bookworm, but that was before I knew it wasn't compatible with RealVNC and reverted back to my Bullseye configuration. Most of the metrics say that Bullseye is much more efficient for an RPi5, but I'm not sure if that's because it uses Wayland instead of X11. I'm interested in upgrading to Bookworm and "downgrading" to X11 for compatibility until RealVNC is Wayland-compatible, but only if the aforementioned performance benefits are still there using X11. Short version, worth installing Bookworm X11 now, or wait until mid-2024 with a clean Bookworm Wayland RealVNC? (I know TightVNC could potentially work, but that's not the plan for now.) Benefits one way or the other delineated would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!
