A pull-up to 3V3 and a short to 0V button - very common, and as far as the errata says it worksI disagree on both counts. The problem does seem to be fairly significant and it's not just backwards compatible with the Pico which is a problem; it seems it's lack of backwards compatibility with the way things have been done 'since forever'.
A pull-up to 3V3 and a short to 0V button, or vice-versa, isn't anything out of the ordinary.
or vice-versa - uncommon. I've been in the industry since the late 60s and the only place I can think it would be used is a multiplexed n x m switch array. In any case, I never trust the internal pull-ups/pull-downs in MCUs, they rarely sink/source the current you want. 0402 resisters are a tenth of a cent so add one.
So don't use it then.Works on every microcontroller I have ever used including the RP2040. It should work perfectly fine with the RP235X but apparently doesn't.
