Can you try a usb wifi adapter in your Pi and see if you can use it to connect to your router.
If this works then it could be the onboard wifi on the Pi that is not working in 2.4gh band.

Does your router expect wpa2 or wpa3 authentication, same for the Pi when you set up
the connection, you entered ssid and password, did you also chose a security type to use
was it wpa2 or wpa3, not sure if the Pi offers wpa3 authentication.

Also try running raspi-config and sellect the area/country you live in and complete any other questions ask, save and reboot, that might cause your 2.4 band to spring into action.
I connected a TP-Link wifi adapter. It shows up in nmtui as USB Wifi. And it also sees the 2.4G network. But like the onboard wifi it fails connecting to it.

The router uses WPA2, like the Pi 5.

Country code it set correctly.
