This is my third Raspi 5 now and the HDMI is constantly breaking after using them for about 3 - 5 months. On the first pi the first HDMI port had artifacts and the second HDMI port detected that there was a monitor (I saw that using raspberry pi connect) but wouldnt display anything. The second Raspi 5 also detected a monitor on the first HDMI but didnt display anything and the second HDMI didnt detect any monitors. Now im on my third Raspberry pi and it only shows a resolution of 1024x768 no matter what monitor, cable or adapter (micro hdmi to hdmi) i use. When im booting into diagnostic screen the edid shows 'none'. The second still works though, however its just a matter of time until it also breaks.
My question is, what am i doing wrong? Are the HDMI ports on the Raspberry Pi 5 a weak point? Is there anything i can do to try to fix it?
