General programming discussion • Can I use libncurses-dev when cross-compiling the kernel?

My OS is Ubuntu-24.04 (64-bit), running on an x86-64 CPU.

The manual suggests using libncurses5-dev. But the system only has libncurses-dev package.

Can I use libncurses-dev when cross-compiling the kernel?
